Peer Mentoring Program

Interaction Transition is a Seattle-based nonprofit that supports formerly incarcerated individuals through peer mentoring and reentry services. With the support of Interaction Transition, Candice Baughman helped the Rotary Reentry Course at the Washington Correction Center for Women (WCCW) create a peer mentoring program to fill a critical gap in post-release support. By connecting with participants before release and offering guidance on employment, transportation, and basic needs, this culturally responsive, peer-led model has provided our students with confidence, stability, and a sense of connection as they transition back into their communities.
